FORMER prime minister Najib Razak tonight made his first public appearance in days at a mosque in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur.
At about 10.15pm, along with pictures of himself praying at the mosque, Najib tweeted: “The Prophet Muhammad’s saying as reported by Bukhari,Whoever prays at night the whole month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven. Alhamdulillah, tonight I managed to perform the terawih prayers at Masjid Kg Baru. May we all always be blessed by Allah SWT”.
Najib has not been seen leaving his house since he announced his resignation as Umno president four days ago.
Izzat Ikhwan, using twitter handle @JatIkhwan tweeted he was lucky to be praying alongside Najib. He snapped a photo of Najib and tagged him in the post.
The post came 20 minutes after members of the media spotted a white Toyota Vellfire with two outriders leaving Najib’s private residence in Jalan Langgak Duta.
Najib left the mosque through the back shortly after 10pm.
At 6.05pm today, a lorry was seen driving into Najib’s residence. Reporters said they saw unidentified items loaded onto and driven away in the lorry. – May 16, 2018.
