SABAH Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal today unveiled his mixed cabinet, which includes three new ministries as announced in the Parti Warisan Sabah manifesto.
All 10 ministers and 18 assistant ministers were sworn in by head of state Juhar Mahiruddin at Istana Negeri about 4.30pm.
The three deputy chief ministers in Shafie’s line-up are Warisan vice-president Jaujan Sambokong, state PKR chief Christina Liew and Upko president Wilfred Madius Tangau.
Liew holds the tourism, culture and environment portfolio, Tangau (trade and industries) and Jaujan (local government and housing).
Shafie, meanwhile, holds the finance portfolio.
Of the three new ministries, the Health and People’s Wellbeing Ministry will be headed by state DAP chairman Stephen Wong, while the Law and Native Affairs Ministry will be headed by Warisan’s Aidi Mokhtar.
Tuaran MP Tangau and Sandakan MP Wong were also appointed as assemblymen.

Junz Wong (Warisan, Tanjung Aru) – agriculture and food industries
Dr Yusof Yacob (Warisan, Sindumin) – education and innovation
Frankie Poon Ming Foong (DAP, Tanjung Papat) – youth and sports
The assistant ministers are:
Jimmy Wong (DAP, Sri Tanjong), Arifin Asgali (Warisan, Sekong) – Chief Minister’s Department
Kenny Chua (PKR, Inanam), Saripudin Hatta (Warisan, Merotai) – finance
Assafal P. Alian (Warisan, Tungku) – tourism, culture and environment
Ben Chong (Warisan, Tg Kapur), Azar Datu Matussin (Warisan, Karambunai) – trade and industries
Hiew Vun Zin (Warisan, Karamunting) – local government and housing
Abdul Muis Picho (former Umno, Sebatik) – infrastructure development
Norazlina Arif (Warisan, Kunak) – health and people’s wellbeing
Dr Daud Yusof (Warisan, Bongawan) – agriculture and food industries
Mohammad Mohamarin (Warisan, Banggi), Jenifer Lasimbang (Warisan, Moyog) – education and innovation
Rasinin Binkoutis (Warisan, Liawan), Dumi Pg Masdal (Warisan, Lahad Datu) – rural development
Uda Sulai (Warisan, Petagas), Jane Lasimbang (DAP, Kepayan) – law and native affairs
