SARAWAK Barisan Nasional may rebrand itself as Gabungan Sarawak, an independent coalition of components “friendly” with the Pakatan Harapan federal government.
The new coalition is among the options being weighed at an emergency meeting held by leaders of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) today, said state BN sources.
On the discussion table is the party’s position in BN and the possible alliance with PH.
Chairing the meeting is PBB president and Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg, who is also expected to hold discussions with state BN component leaders on the pact’s direction moving forward.
