POLICE must investigate the latest disclosure by the wife of missing activist wife Amri Che Mat that Bukit Aman was allegedly involved in the abduction of the Perlis Hope founder and pastor Raymond Koh, said a social activist group.
Citizen Action Group of Enforced Disappearance (CAGED) said police must look into this latest expose with utmost priority.
“The individuals involved in the abductions must be brought to justice, no matter how senior their positions are.
“The resolution of these cases will go a long way to restore the people’s confidence in the police and bring much-needed closure to the families of these victims.
“If the victims are alive, they must be released and restored to their families immediately,” CAGED said in a statement.
Amri’s wife, Norhayati Mohd Ariffin, lodged a report alleging a police informer told her it was police officers from the federal headquarters in Bukit Aman who abducted her husband and Koh.
She said the information was relayed to her by a Special Branch officer who visited her home in Kangar, Perlis on Saturday.
CAGED has also urged Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to expedite the closure of this dark and shameful chapter.
Amri, a social activist and forex trader, went missing on November 24, 2016 after leaving home to meet a friend.
Koh was abducted in Petaling Jaya on February 13 last year by about 15 men in three black SUVs. – May 16, 2018.
