Umno sacks 2 Perak BN reps who supported Pakatan menteri besar

THE two Barisan Nasional assemblymen in Perak who did not switch parties but backed Pakatan Harapan’s menteri besar candidate have been sacked from Umno, party vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today.

Zahid, who is acting Umno president, said their sacking was immediate and automatic.

“It is because they had supported a PH government,” he told a press conference chairing Umno’s supreme council meting at PWTC.

Nolee Radzi (Tualang Sekah) and Zainol Radzi (Sungai Manik) who had given their support to Bersatu’s Ahmad Faizal Azumu to become Perak menteri besar and form the state government.

Both Nolee and Zainol had said they would remain BN members and stressed they were not leaving Umno.

PH won 29 state seats in Perak, while BN won 27 and PAS 3. With Nolee and Zainal’s support, PH with 31 seats had enough to form the state government. – May 14, 2018.
