PKR has submitted 10 names to be chosen as ministers despite Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad asking for only three names from each party.

The Pakatan Harapan chairman said he will consider the 10 names from PKR for the initial 10 cabinet positions, but the ultimate decision would be up to him.

“They have suggested 10 names even though we asked for 3 names. We will choose from the names submitted.

“I will decide who gets what position and what ministry,” Dr Mahathir told a press conference today.

The 93-year old reiterated that the cabinet will be be sized down to 25 ministers and it would be decided in two weeks at the latest.

Dr Mahathir also said that the delay in naming the cabinet was also because Amanah has not submitted their ministerial candidates yet.

He added that he would meet all four party presidents to finalise the 10-man “core cabinet” as soon as possible. – May 14, 2018.
