BARISAN Nasional assemblymen will not be sidelined and will receive development allocations from the Pakatan Harapan state government, Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir said today.

Bernama reported him as saying the state PH leadership had already decided on this.

“When PH reps were in the opposition, this is the issue that was always raised to BN. Now that PH is the government, we will review the situation,” he said.

Mukhriz said one of the priorities of his administration would be to ensure that Kedah citizens, even in opposition-held constituencies, would not be sidelined. 

Mukhriz clocked in at Wisma Darul Aman at 8am today to begin his first official day of work.

He said the state budget for 2018 that was approved by the BN government last year will be reviewed to assess the state’s true financial situation. – May 14, 2018.
