PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad visited PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim at the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital this evening, reported Bernama.

This was confirmed by a corporate communications officer from the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office, who was present during the visit.

He said Dr Mahathir arrived about 5.30pm and spent 90 minutes with Anwar, who is recuperating after a surgery.

Also present were Anwar’s wife, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali.

It was reported today that Anwar will be released from prison on Tuesday.

His daughter, Nurul Izzah Anwar, told Channel NewsAsia that he will receive a full pardon, which will allow him to enter politics once more. – May 12, 2018.
