PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the Pakatan Harapan government will have a smaller cabinet comprising only 25 ministers for now. 

However, he said ministers from Sabah and Sarawak might be added later on. 

“There may be a necessity later on to have ministers from Sabah and Sarawak.

“So, we have a place for Sabah and Sarawak and we need to find out (what) their stand (is),” he said. 

He said the cabinet posts would be finalised by next week and the swearing-in of ministers would follow. 

Dr Mahathir today gave the names of three ministers out of the 10 ministries the government had announced. 

The 10 ministries are Finance, Home Affairs, Defence, Education, Rural Development, Economy, Public Works, Transport, Foreign Affairs, and Multimedia, Science and Technology ministries. – May 12, 2018.
