PAHANG will not have its menteri besar sworn in today after the ceremony set for this morning was postponed to some time before the start of Ramadan.
The New Straits Times reported that members of the press waiting at the venue were told it had been pushed back to the first day of the fasting month, which will begin either next Thursday or Friday.
There has been no word from the incumbent menteri besar and Pahang Barisan Nasional chief Adnan Yaakob, who was to have been sworn in.
Adnan won his Pelangai state seat for an eighth term, giving BN 25 state seats and a simple majority to form the state government. Pakatan Harapan won nine seats and PAS (8). – May 12, 2018.
