KEDAH Umno’s Youth wing are imploring its national chairman, Najib Razak, to step down following Barisan Nasional’s crushing defeat in the general election.

Its chief, Shaiful Hazizy, said Najib’s personal problems were a liability for Umno and BN, and that a change in leadership was needed if the coalition and party wanted to rise up again.

“Kedah Umno Youth consistently backed the president prior to this, but for the party’s future, we urge Najib to vacate his post and give way to younger and more capable leadership,” he said in a statement today. – May 11, 2018.
