AMANAH’S Media Oren played a pivotal role in the opposition coalition’s march to Putrajaya as it brought the numerous ceramah nationwide to voters, said Helmi Radzuan, a director of the party’s official social media wing.
From announcing large-scale ceramah to the public and broadcasting it live, the Media Oren team ensured that the message put out by Pakatan Harapan leaders reached the masses.
Media Oren’s work started with PH’s Jelajah programme which was held nationwide.
“Our target then was to ensure that this programme was a big hit.
“When more people attended the events, we filmed and made sure to viral it (on social media). This was when the wave was created,” said Helmi.
According to him, among the notable successes was the May 4 PH Malacca mega-ceramah when thousands could not attend the mega-gathering because of the traffic jam. They then tuned in to Media Oren.
Media Oren currently has 2,812 likes on its Facebook page, while the live streaming page Oren TV has 105,012 likes.
The social media wing has five full-time staff members with 200 other volunteers across the country. – May 11, 2018.
