THE Terengganu menteri besar and state exco will be sworn in tonight before Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Syarqiyyah, Kuala Terengganu, Bernama reports.

“We will announce the menteri  besar and 10 state executive councillors on Friday after receiving the consent of the sultan. So it is better for us not to speculate on the menteri besar’s post until then,” said state PAS Commissioner Husein Awang at a press conference in Marang, today.

He said the former menteri besar would hand over his duties to his successor on Monday, and that the state executive councillors would commence duty the same day.

Meanwhile, Sunday was a public holiday in the state, he said, as the federal government had decreed.

PAS won 21 of 32 state seats in GE14 to form the government of Terengganu. – May 10, 2018.
