NO swearing-in ceremony will take place at Istana Negara today, Bernama reported, citing a source close to the palace.

“So far, there is no information about when the swearing-in will take place. Definitely not today, also not tonight,” said the source. 

Journalists have been waiting outside Istana Negara since 8am this morning after Pakatan Harapan chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad told a press conference in the wee hours that the next prime minister would be sworn in today.

Pakatan Harapan, a pact of four political parties led by Dr Mahathir, won the 14th general election, ending Barisan Nasional rule. – May 10, 2018.
