THE swearing-in ceremony to appoint the menteri besar and state government exco for Terengganu will be conducted at 8.30pm tonight at Istana Syarqiyyah, Cendering, Kuala Terengganu.

A rehearsal will be carried out at 5pm today, said a PAS source in Terengganu.

Election director and political secretary to the president Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has been rumoured to be named as the menteri besar if PAS succeeds in winning the state.

Samsuri won the Rhu Rendang state seat, defeating Barisan Nasional’s Nik Dir Nik Wan Ku and Pakatan Harapan’s Zarawi Sulong.

Other PAS leaders who won included the deputy commissioner for PAS Terengganu, Satiful Bahari Mamat in Paka.

PAS central youth head Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi also won the state seat of Batu Burok.

Party president Abdul Hadi Awang won the Marang parliamentary seat. – May 10, 2018.
