PAKATAN Harapan will seek an audience with the Perak Sultan tomorrow to seek his consent to form the state government.

State PH chairman Ahmad Faizal Azumu said with 29 seats, PH has the most number of seats in the state.

“We’ll seek an audience with the sultan of Perak for his advice on the matter,” said Ahmad Faizal at a press conference at about 3.30am.

PH needs a simple majority of 30 seats in the 59-seat state assembly. But the official results showed that PH won 29 seats, BN 27 seats and PAS three seats.

Faizal said he hopes BN will ensure a smooth transition of power soonest possible in accordance with the people’s wishes.

“This is to preserve the state’s harmony,” he said.

On the possibility of BN forming an alliance with PAS, he said he did not want to speculate on a matter that has yet to happen.
