MALAYSIANS have gathered outside the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya for Pakatan Harapan (PH) to announce their victory in the 14th general election.

Earlier, PH prime minister candidate Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced that the coalition had already won 112 seats required to form federal government but the Election Commission refused to sign off on the results.

Hearing his announcement, supporters started gathering around the compound of the hotel in groups.

They came wearing PH t-shirts and waving PKR flags. There were also convoy of bikes that rounded the hotel in jubilation on the impending victory.

People there said they were willing to take to the streets if EC denies a win for PH.

The crowd also appeared to be in a cheerful mood as they started cheering on supporters that were joining the gathering at the hotel lobby.

The hotel management had to lock the doors in order to prevent the supporters from getting in the premises. – May 10, 2018.
