CARETAKER Barisan Nasional minister Khairy Jamaluddin last night said the Malaysian public has spoken, and its voice is sacred.

Khairy, who held the post of youth and sports minister, is the second senior BN leader to officially speak up after early indications showed that the ruling coalition suffered major defeats in the 14th general election.

“The Malaysian people have spoken. And the people’s voice is sacred,” he tweeted.

“Good luck, Malaysia, and thank you to all voters for exercising your responsibility to the country.”

The first senior BN leader to speak up publicly was caretaker second finance minster Johari Abdul Ghani, who conceded defeat in the Titiwangsa parliamentary seat. – May 10, 2018.
