PENANG caretaker chief minister Lim Guan Eng has declared Pakatan Harapan is returning as the state government for the third term, saying “we have the numbers” although the Election Commission has yet to make an official announcement.

He said he did not know if the opposition had won Putrajaya “but the people have spoken” and that Dr Mahathir Mohamad was likely to be the seventh prime minister.

Lim advised supporters to celebrate the victory at home and not to listen to rumours, as there was much “fake news out there”.
