MORE than 30 reporters from local and international news agencies joined scores of Barisan Nasional supporters to wait for the arrival of caretaker prime minister Najib Razak at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).

The mood was sombre at the Umno headquarters as unofficial results from the 14th general election show massive losses by BN in almost all states.

As at 10.30pm, none of the BN component party leaders has arrived. Wanita Umno head Shahrizat Jalil was seen leaving the building about 9.40pm.

Najib is expected to hold a press conference at PWTC later. – May 9, 2018.
