ALL signs are pointing to a major upset in Johor as Barisan Nasional’s parliamentary seats fall to Pakatan Harapan.
The most noticeable early victims are MIC president and health minister S. Subramaniam and deputy finance minister Chua Tee Yong, incumbents in the Segamat and Labis seats, respectively.
Unofficial results as of 8.40pm also show BN has lost Ledang and Sekijang.
Analysts have projected BN could lose up to 16 parliamentary seats.
In the last elections, Pakatan Rakyat parties won five out 26 parliamentary seats. BN later lost the Pagoh seat when the MP Muhyiddin Yassin joined PH. The four-party coalition has mounted a determined campaign to take over Johor, a BN stronghold. – May 9, 2018.
