Short circuit starts minor fire at Subang Perdana polling station

A SHORT circuit sparked a minor fire while voters were casting their votes at a polling station in Taman Subang Perdana today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operation centre chief Mohd Nurizawan Basri said a call was received at 12.12pm, and the team arrived 20 minutes later to put out the fire.

He said the incident happened at the hall of the SKS Sek 13 polling station in Taman Subang Perdana, which catered to voters from Sungai Buloh and Kota Damansara.

No injuries were reported, according to the fire department, and the fire did not interfere with the voting process. – May 9, 2018.
