CARETAKER prime minister Najib Razak’s special message last night was nothing but a bribe to get last-minute support, said Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Comparing Najib’s speech with that of Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the caretaker Selangor menteri besar said that the latter did not promise goodies, but urged Malaysians to save Malaysia by giving Pakatan Harapan a chance.

“PH talked about the country’s dignity. Unfortunately, Najib was more inclined to bribe the people,” the PKR candidate for the Gombak parliamentary seat told Malaysia Decides.

Najib said he would abolish personal income tax for those 26 years and below, give two days of holiday next week, and institute five toll-free days on the highways during the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities if Barisan Nasional retained power in the 14th general election.

Najib also announced special holidays on next Monday and Tuesday, May 14 and 15.

“I am confident the people are matured enough to judge,” Azmin said while visiting the polling centre at SM Taman Melawati in Gombak. – May 9, 2018.
