SELANGOR Barisan Nasional today announced a three-month salary as a bonus for Selangor’s civil servants if BN recaptured the state in the general election tomorrow.
Bernama reported its chairman, Noh Omar, as saying the bonus would be provided for in next year’s state budget.
“The announcement of the bonus is relevant considering that (caretaker Selangor) menteri besar Mohamed Azmin Ali made a similar announcement, even though the state government has to bear various debts amounting to billions of ringgit.
“So, I advise the people not to be deceived by Azmin’s statement,” he said after a visit to the Sawah Sempadan polling district centre in Tanjong Karang.
Azmin said in a statement yesterday that the Selangor government would give a three-month salary as a bonus if Pakatan Harapan retained Selangor in the general election.
Noh said BN would retain the Tanjong Karang parliamentary seat he was defending and the state seats within it.
“As I said before, we (BN) will also win at least 30 state seats and 10 parliamentary seats in Selangor,” he said, adding that BN had received good feedback from the people during the last 11 days of campaigning. – May 8, 2018.
