PAS will take 4 states in GE14, says Hadi

ABDUL Hadi Awang has predicted that PAS will win four states in the 14th general election, including continuing its 28-year rule in Kelantan.

The Islamist party’s president said apart from Kelantan, it will wrest Terengganu, Kedah and Selangor.

“God willing we will retain Kelantan and we will be able to take back Terengganu and Kedah and take control of Selangor,” he said in a ceramah at Bukit Bading, Hulu Terengganu tonight.

Hadi said the party is targeting to win 112 parliamentary seats in the elections that will be held on Wednesday, allowing PAS to rule the country with a simple majority.

“If we win 112 (parliamentary) seats out of 158 we contested, we can rule the country with a simple majority.

“If we win 40 seats, we can be the kingmaker,” he added.

He said if PAS becomes the kingmaker, the party will discuss either with Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Harapan to form a government.

“We will discuss and put forward our terms. If they don’t want to follow (the terms), we can be a strong opposition and rule states that we win,” he said.

Invoke Centre for Policy Initiatives predicted that PAS will be wiped out even in its strongholds of Kelantan and Terengganu.

Its founder Rafizi Ramli, who also PKR vice-president, said Hadi is predicted to lose the Marang parliamentary seat, of which he is incumbent. – May 7, 2018.
