NAJIB Razak will hold a special address to Malaysians to be telecast live tomorrow night – at the same time as Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who will also address the nation.

Dr Mahathir’s camp had announced last week that the Pakatan Harapan prime minister candidate would be speaking to Malaysians in a special address from Langkawi that will be live-streamed on Facebook.

The Pakatan Harapan chairman, who is in Langkawi, will be at the Kuah multipurpose hall from 9pm tomorrow. 

At about the same time, a mega concert – Konsert #Langkawi Hebat – organised by the Finance Ministry and Langkawi Development Authority, will be held at Dataran Lang, about 1km from where Dr Mahathir will be speaking.

Among the artistes set to perform are Joe Flizzow, Ramli Sarip, Dayang Nurfaizah and Ayda Jebat. 

A lucky draw will also be held, with motorcycles, smartphones, drones and gaming platforms among the items up for grabs. 

Today, Najib’s camp announced that the caretaker prime minister’s address tomorrow, on the eve of polling day, will be telecast live over national TV. Both leaders will go live at 10pm.

Dr Mahathir is contesting in Langkawi while Najib will defend his parliamentary seat in Pekan. – May 7, 2018.
