MUAR incumbent and caretaker minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Razali Ibrahim will take on his main challenger in a debate tomorrow night at the Muar Traders Hotel at 8pm.

The announcement was made at Parit Yusuf after a dialogue session conducted with Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and former finance minister Daim Zainuddin with local residents.

The Bersatu youth chief Syed Saddiq and Razali had been in a war of words over the debate following the former’s challenge on Monday. Defence minister and Sembrong incumbent Hishammuddin Hussein had called Syed Saddiq a “kitten” due to his age.

Syed Saddiq is one the youngest candidates for Parliament at 25 years old.

“The topic of the debate is about Pakatan Harapan or Barisan Nasional for Putrajaya,” Syed Saddiq told reporters today.

He said the moderator had not been decided yet.

The top Asia debater, said he was willing to debate Razali after it was suggested by Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin.

Syed Saddiq also extended the challenge to PAS candidate for Muar, Abdul Aziz Taib, who has not responded to the challenge.

On Thursday, Razali had accepted Syed Saddiq’s suggestion to a debate and said it was not a problem if it benefited voters in Muar. – May 5, 2018.
