THE Kedah federal seat of Sungai Petani and three state seats will get RM25 million if Barisan Nasional wins the constituencies in the 14th general election, said Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Bernama reported the caretaker deputy prime minister as saying RM10 million will be allocated to build a 2,000-capacity hall and sports complex in Sungai Petani.
“I feel sorry for Sungai Petani voters, who have to endure the heat under this tent. With an air-conditioned hall, we won’t have to suffer like this,” he said during a programme in the constituency last night.
“If Shahanim (Mohamad Yusoff) wins the Sungai Petani parliamentary seat, the government will definitely build (a hall and sports complex).”
He said RM5 million will be given each to the Pantai Merdeka, Bakar Arang and Sidam seats for the construction of other facilities. – May 5, 2018.
