Initiatives for military personnel can only continue if BN wins, says Hishammuddin

VARIOUS government initiatives for military personnel can only be continued if Barisan Nasional is given the mandate in the 14th general election on May 9, said caretaker defence minister Hishammuddin Hussein.

Bernama reported Hishammuddin as saying military personnel who will be voting early tomorrow should think carefully about their choices because their welfare was at stake.

“I have reminded military personnel to think about the government’s initiatives for them and their families, such as those in education, healthcare, housing, veteran welfare, as well as our direction in ensuring the country’s defence preparations and security needs.

“If  the mandate is not returned to us, the way I see it, nothing else but politicking will be left to do, having to counter all kinds of accusations, most of which are baseless,” he said at the Segenting camp in Port Dickson today. – May 4, 2018.
