International schools in Selangor and KL get bomb threats

SEVERAL international schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur received bomb threats early this morning, police said.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said seven international schools in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Kajang, Subang Jaya and Kuala Langat received the threat.

“Investigation is ongoing, and we believe it is a hoax,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sinar Harian quoting Kuala Lumpur police chief Allaudeen Abdul Majid, said two international schools in Wangsa Maju received similar threats, which were made via an email.

He told the Malay daily that bomb squads were dispatched to both the schools.

The email was sent by an unnamed individual between 9.30am and 10.15am today. – November 21, 2023.
