Nothing strange about PAS-BN cooperation, says Hadi

THERE is nothing strange about PAS and Barisan Nasional working together in a coalition government, said Abdul Hadi Awang.

Bernama reported the Islamist party’s president as saying BN, however, must meet certain conditions before there can be such a cooperation.

“It’s not something strange if PAS works with BN, but BN must follow our terms,” he told reporters after a political talk with the PAS candidate for the Titiwangsa parliamentary seat, Mohamad Noor Mohamad, in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

“It is up to BN whether to agree. We will put forward the terms later.”

Hadi, who is standing in the Marang parliamentary seat, said PAS’ willingness to cooperate with BN follows the party’s conviction that it will win big in the seats it is contesting in the 14th general election.

“We hope to get a simple majority. If we get more seats, we can be the kingmaker, and others can listen to us if they wish to work together.” – May 4, 2018.
