67% Langkawi voters don't want Dr Mahathir, survey finds

The Malaysian Insight

SIXTY-SEVEN percent of Langkawi voters do not want Dr Mahathir Mohamad as their MP, according to a Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) survey.

Bernama reported SAMM founder Badrul Hisham Shaharin, better known as Chegubard, as saying the survey involved 2,000 residents and was carried out over the last four days.

It aimed to gauge the level of support for the Pakatan Harapan chairman, who is contesting the parliamentary seat in the 14th general election.

“We asked the respondents if they supported Dr Mahathir, that’s all. Those who said ‘no’ form the majority now,”  said Chegubard.

“Langkawi is not Dr Mahathir’s stronghold. It is not impossible to see Dr Mahathir defeated in Langkawi and falling from grace.” – May 3, 2018.
