TOURISM, Arts and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing told the Dewan Rakyat today there was nothing wrong with him drinking alcohol and dancing in public.

The colourful minister defended himself over a clip of him having a good time at a Gawai festival in Sarawak last December.
“They invited me, so I joined them. It was a festival. I had some fun with the kids, acted a little ‘crazy’.
“What’s wrong with that? Don’t make a big deal out of it,” he told the chamber while replying to points raised by lawmakers during the Budget 2024 debate in relation to his ministry.
Tiong told the opposition that there was no issue from him drinking alcohol as he is not a Muslim.
“We must all respect one another to achieve harmony,” he said.
Earlier, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (Masjid Tanah-{N), asked Tiong if his “partying and dancing in public” was his unique way of drawing tourists to the country. – October 31, 2023.
