FISHERMAN in Sekinchan will be given RM2,000 if Barisan Nasional wins the seat, promised Umno Sungai Besar chief Jamal Yunos.

Speaking to a crowd of 800, Jamal urged them not to support the current assemblyman Ng Suee Lim from DAP and take up the “incentive”, Malaysiakini reports.

“Give the BN candidate from MCA in Sekinchan a win! Once he wins, ladies and gentlemen, you will be able to redeem RM2,000 from me afterwards.

“Already the (federal) government gives you money and help, but you don’t want to vote for us. Every five years, you give your vote to Ng, what has he done to help you?”, he was quoted as saying.

Ng is seeking for a fourth term and faces MCA’s Lee Yee Yuan, whom Jamal is backing.

The controversial red-shirt leader added the moment Lee wins, the RM2,000 would be handed out as he already has a donor lined up.

“I am not lying… once Lee wins in Sekinchan, you can come here and we will hold an event for all, as I have a donor.

“If today we win, tomorrow we will hold the event here,” he said at the Pasir Panjang BN command centre.

The news portal reported that Lee, Sungai Panjang state seat candidate Mohd Imran Tamrin and Sungai Besar parliamentary candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi were also present.

PAS is also fielding a candidate in Sekinchan. – May 1, 2018.
