BN Segambut candidate denies busing in supporters on nomination day

CARETAKER deputy Federal Territories minister Loga Bala Mohan today denied Barisan Nasional (BN) ferried supporters to form his entourage on nomination day yesterday.

Loga, who is the the Segambut parliamentary seat candidate, also quashed claims that supporters came because of the goodies given out.

“Yes, the supporters came but we didn’t give anything. No such thing.

“There were no goodie bags given out and all our supporters wore their own BN T-shirts.

“The crowd that came was mobilised by our party. If their (opposition) crowd didn’t come, it’s not our fault. Don’t blame us. Don’t tell stories about us,” he told Malaysia Decides.

It was reported that to ensure a large turnout of supporters for Loga, BN had given out free breakfast, goodie bags and BN T-shirts.

There were also claims that eight buses were deployed to transport the supporters.

Loga said they didn’t provide breakfast and transport but gave the supporters mineral water.

“We didn’t call anyone to come. We are a big coalition so they mobilised the crowd.

“Of course they were busses there because they were coming from all over. They came on their own. We didn’t provide transport.

“Some of my supporters also came from Penang, where I’m from, but not many.”

Loga will be going up against Hannah Yeoh of DAP and Mohd Solleh Ab Razak of PAS. – April 29, 2018.
