Former EC chairman in 5-cornered fight

FORMER Election Commission chairman Ab Rashid Ab Rahman is contesting under the PKR banner against four others in Kelantan’s Kota Lama state seat in the 14th general election.

The Bersatu vice-president is facing off against Anuar Tan Abdullah (PAS), Chua Hock Kuan (BN), Izat Bukhari Ismail Bukhari (Independent) and Khairul Nizam Abdul Ghani (PSM).

All candidates of the Pakatan Harapan opposition coalition are using PKR’s logo to contest in GE14.

Meanwhile, the Kota Bharu parliamentary constituency, which includes Kota Lama, will be seeing a three-cornered fight, with Fikhran Hamshi Mohamad Fatmi (BN), Takiyuddin Hassan (PAS) and Husam Musa (PKR) vying for the seat.

The two other state seats under Kota Bharu, Tanjong Mas and Bunut Payong will all see three-cornered fights between BN, PAS and PKR.

Hafidzah Mustakim (PKR), Madihah Ab Aziz (BN) and Rohani Ibrahim (PAS) will be fighting for the Tanjong Mas seat while Mohamed Hasnan Che Hussin (BN), Ramli Mamat (PAS) and Sanusi Othman (PKR) are contesting the Bunut Payong seat. – April 28, 2018.
