THE Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) will investigate Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s allegations that an aircraft scheduled to fly him to Langkawi was sabotaged, said Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun.
He said police will take over if criminal activity is found to have taken place.
“We have gathered the information, and from it, we have found that one tyre had burst.
“So, the investigation, as ordered by the transport minister, is being carried out by CAAM.
“If there is any trace of criminal activity, we will take over the investigation. That is all I can say,” he told reporters at a special press conference at Bukit Aman today.
Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai was reported as saying CAAM has been ordered to investigate the Pakatan Harapan chairman’s allegations.
Today, Dr Mahathir said in Langkawi that several friends who had loaned him private jets before are suddenly reluctant to do so. – April 28, 2018.
