Tian Chua barred from contesting Batu seat

PKR vice-president Tian Chua has been disqualified from contesting the Batu parliamentary seat.

The Star reported that he was disqualified because of a RM2,000 fine imposed by the Shah Alam High Court.

Tian Chua served as Batu MP for two terms.

The four candidates for the seat now are Barisan Nasional’s Dr Dominic Lau, PAS’ Batu chief, Azhar Yahya, and independents P. Prabakaran and V.M. Panjamorthy Muthusamy.

Prabakaran is a 22-year-old law student, while Panjamorthy is a former MIC member. – April 28, 2018.
