THE Health Ministry (MOH) said it will announce the Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) for the six August 12 state elections and Kuala Terengganu by-election in a few days.

Its minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the ministry is discussing the SOP with the Election Commission, especially rules for those with Covid-19.

“For now, election campaigns can continue with existing guidelines,” she told reporters after presenting excellent service awards to Kelantan Health Department staff today.

Earlier, the MOH said the Covid-19 SOP used in the 2022 general election would be employed for the state polls, and talks with the EC and National Security Council would be held if a new SOP is needed. – Bernama, July 31, 2023.
