SELANGOR sports development exco Amirudin Shari lost his cool when answering a Barisan Nasional assemblyman in the state assembly today on the use of Shah Alam stadium.
He was responding to Budiman Mohd Zohdi (BN-Sungai Panjang), who asked how long the Selangor football issue would drag on.
Amirudin was irritated when Budiman went on to accuse the Pakatan Harapan-led Selangor government of dragging the issue because of political reasons.
“Go to hell with all of them,” he said, referring to the Football Association of Selangor (FAS), whom he accused of being BN agents being used to attack the state government.
Amirudin said the state government was prepared to negotiate with FAS but the association did not want to meet.
“The latest letter from FAS states that it does not want to meet me. They want to use this as a political tool, they want to become BN agents to make this issue as political to attack the state government,” he said.
“Go to hell with them, we have our own plans,” Amirudin added in the state assembly.
Budiman earlier said the conflict between the state and FAS is at the expense of the Selangor people.
Selangor, winner of the Malaysia Cup 33 times, are now squatting at the Cheras football stadium for the 2018 season after being denied the use of Shah Alam Stadium as their home ground.
The saga was triggered when FAS refused to release several players for the Sultan’s Cup last year. –March 27, 2018.
