PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil, who is also Pakatan Harapan (PH) communications director, in a tweet today denied his party had issued a membership offer to former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin.

The rumour said Khairy was invited to join PKR as a deputy president.

“It is a fake letter circulating on social media, please be aware,” he said, attaching a photo of the letter.

The letter supposedly issued by the PKR secretary-general’s office and signed by Saifuddin Nasution Ismail asked Khairy to respond to the alleged invitation within seven days from the date of issue.

Khairy was sacked from Umno earlier this year for breaching the party’s disciplinary code. – Bernama, June 19, 2023.
