A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl drowned in a pool at a water theme park in Tanjung Sepat, Banting today.

Kuala Langat district police chief Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor said a passerby discovered the unconscious victim in the pool at 1.28pm.

“The incident occurred when the girl was playing with her eight-year-old sister in a pool. The father was informed by a passerby that one of his daughters was unconscious.

“The victim was brought to Banting Hospital where she was confirmed to have died by drowning,” he said in a statement today, adding that the case was being investigated under section 33 of the Child Act 2001.

He reminded the public not let children under their care to go unsupervised. – Bernama, June 10, 2023.
