YANG di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah extended their 2023 New Year’s greetings and offered their prayers for the wellbeing of the people as well as peace and harmony throughout the country.

The message was uploaded to Istana Negara’s official Facebook page.

“May the people throughout the country be blessed with good health, wealth, prosperity and be protected from any type of disaster,” the royal couple said.

This year’s new year eve celebrations initially planned at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, tonight, was called off by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim out of respect for people caught up in floods across several states.

Instead, Anwar will attend a prayer programme at the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya starting at 6.30pm. – Bernama, December 31, 2022.
