3,457 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

MALAYSIA recorded 3,457 new Covid-19 cases yesterday compared to 3,304 cases a day earlier.

According to the KKMNow website, the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic stood at 4,960,179 cases.

Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 1,187 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (322) and Sabah (266).

Perak logged 139 new cases, Negri Sembilan (146), Johor (79), Sarawak (158), Malacca (261), Penang (216), Putrajaya (131), Kedah (171), Pahang (159), Terengganu (77), Kelantan (124) and Perlis (4) and Labuan (16).

The Health Ministry also reported nine Covid-19 deaths yesterday with no dead-on- arrival cases, bringing the total to 36,583.

The number of Covid-19 patients in the intensive care unit stood at 89, of which 46 required respiratory support. – November 18, 2022.
