PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will launch its manifesto for the 14th general election this Thursday (March 8).
Bersatu’s Rais Hussin said the 130-page manifesto was finalised today and it would be launched in Shah Alam on Thursday.
“These are things that are going to be addressed in our manifesto. It is going to be a very pregnant manifesto, which is pragmatic and practical,” he told a press conference at Bersatu headquarters today.
He added that the manifesto launched will focus on institutional reforms, among others, to chart PH’s course to taking over Putrajaya.
“The democratic institution has been completely raped. It is used to serve only one person. It cannot be used to either serve one person or a political party. We want to restore the democratic institutions”.
Rais, who is also part of PH’s manifesto committee, said that the coalition has made 100 promises in its manifesto.
Out of the 100 promises, PH wants to fulfil 10 of the promises within the first 100 days if they take over government.
“Let us wait for March 8. There are 130 pages in the manifesto. We will fulfil 10 promises within 100 days. All that is result of hard core research,” Rais said.
After PH launched the manifesto, Rais also said that he would like to invite Barisan Nasional (BN) to debate the policies included in the manifestos.
“We would like to invite BN’s manifesto team to debate with us. We can provide a humble venue for the debate,” he said. – March 5, 2018.
