3,913 new Covid cases, 5 deaths

MALAYSIA recorded 3,913 new Covid-19 cases yesterday compared to 4,621 cases the day before.

The CovidNow website showed the total number of infections stood at 4,927,451. 

Selangor posted the highest number of infections yesterday with 1,731, followed by Kuala Lumpur (739) and Sabah (274). 

Perak logged 189 new cases, Negri Sembilan (211), Johor (45), Sarawak (48), Malacca (122), Penang (207), Putrajaya (47), Kedah (122), Pahang (80), Terengganu (43), Kelantan (48), Perlis (3) and Labuan (4). 

The Health Ministry reported five virus-linked deaths yesterday, two of which dead on arrival.

The deaths were reported in Johor (2), Kedah (2) and Selangor (1).

The death toll stood at 36,487. 

Sixty-seven Covid-19 patients were in intensive care, 26 of whom required respiratory support. – November 7, 2022.
