Congratulations, KL has 2 brand new elevated ‘racing circuits’

WELL done, Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM). Many congratulations on the construction of two brand new racing circuits in Klang Valley.

The first one is called SUKE, located between Cheras and Ulu Kelang, and the second one is called DASH, connecting Damansara, Subang and Shah Alam.

One is indeed appropriately named because you can easily dash through it if you are in a great hurry.

SUKE was opened late last month and DASH was opened a few days ago.

Every night you can find many mat rempit trying them out and having a good time.

The two new circuits really meet their needs and requirements.

It is elevated, free of traffic, new with a smooth tarmac, and fully lit at night.

But the most attractive characteristic of all is the twists and turns.

What a challenge these corners provide for the hell riders.

Definitely life in the fast lane, courtesy of our expressway authority.

With no tolls and no access restrictions at all, our racers must be feeling grateful to the prime minister who recently launched DASH.

These two circuits are much better than Sepang.

The track must have been designed with racing in mind. Its definitely not for heavy vehicles, even those moving a reasonably low speed.

I am sure LLM engineers have testified to the safety of these two racing tracks; they are both very safe for racing.

But wait. There is another great feature of these two tracks that I have failed to mention.

Both tracks are completed with elevated u-turns at both ends so that racers can go round and round as many times as they wish.

Isn’t that brilliant? So very thoughtful, I have to say.

I must also offer a suggestion or two for added safety.

First option is leave the tracks solely to the mat rempit and owners of high-powered racing cars for the purpose of racing, especially at night when the weather is cooler. Toll can still be collected from these groups of users.

Other road users must be prohibited from using it if they are not racing. They will be nothing but obstacles to the racers and pose a grave danger to the racers’ lives.

Second option is to make the tracks accessible only to vehicles with four wheels and more for the purpose of reducing travel time and to charge these users toll.

This second option also means that two-wheeled vehicles such as motorcycles cannot access these roads.

This means no racing at all even if the roads are designed to replicate a race circuit.

If we are serious about tackling the problems of road menaces, accidents deaths, this is the only option for LLM.

We have to save the lives of mat rempit too.

I definitely prefer option two. – October 18, 2022.
