MALAYSIA recorded 1,244 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, down from the 1,360 the day before. 

There were five fatalities, two of which were dead on arrival.

Selangor logged the highest number of daily infections with 455 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (159) and Sabah (110).

Perak reported 98 cases, Kelantan (64), Kedah (63), Penang (60), Negri Sembilan (55), Sarawak (40), Malacca (39), Johor (36), Putrajaya (25(, Pahang (19), Terengganu (16) and Perlis (5).

The GitHub database showed that two virus deaths were reported in Perak and one each in Johor, Negri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur.

There are 968 people in hospital with Covid-19, 21 of them in intensive care unit and 25 on ventilators. – October 4, 2022.
