THE opposition coalition has not decided on a single logo they will use to contest in the 14th general election, but Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin said the parties were welcomed to use Bersatu’s logo.

“I speak only on behalf of PPBM (Bersatu). Anyone contesting whether a Parliament or state seats, who wishes to use Bersatu’s symbol or logo, we’d be very happy,” he said during the launch of 100 days countdown towards Anwar Ibrahim’s release at PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.

Yesterday, PH chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the presidential council had decided to contest in the election under one logo but the pact did not reveal which logo would be used.

“Whether (RoS) approves or not, we will use one logo as our identity in the elections. We cannot announce yet (which logo it will be).

“We can use the symbol of any of our four parties.

“Unless, RoS becomes generous. (They are) so frightened of us they haven’t approved (us),” he said yesterday.

Pakatan consists of Bersatu, DAP, PKR and Amanah.

Meanwhile  PH secretary-general Saifuddin Abdullah said only Negri Sembilan, Kedah, Perlis and Johor have sorted their seat allocations.

Saifuddin could not give a deadline on when seat negotiation would be completed in the other states or the total number of seats.

“Hopefully we will settle it soon,” he said. – February 28, 2018.
