JAILED former prime minister Najib Razak is not getting any special treatment in hospital, court or prison, his lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said.
He rubbished claims that Najib was accorded any special treatment during his incarceration while serving a 12 year jail sentence in Kajang Prison.
“No, he is not given special treatment. They don’t even give him a room here (High Court) to sit down and eat.”
“He also just got a normal room in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL). My room in IJN (National Heart Institute) is better”
“Bullshit, total nonsense,” he told the media at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today during a break in Najib’s RM2.28 billion 1MDB corruption trial today.
Shafee was commenting on claims that Najib was getting special treatment.
Social media was abuzz last week with claims that Najib had been given preferential treatment after he was sent to Cheras Rehabilitation Centre (CRH).
The Prison Department released a statement confirming Najib was sent to CRH.
The statement came three days after allegations were spread on social media that Najib who was codenamed “Merpati” in a viral social media post was receiving special treatment in jail.
He had been moved from the HKL to the Cheras rehabilitation centre as it boosted better facilities.
On the transfer to CRH, Shafee said that Najib has certain medical condition that requires him to do physiotherapy.
“He has to undergo physiotherapy. It may be related to his existing conditions. He has a knee problem and went for a major operation for it when he was prime minister.
“That’s why he was recommended to go there (CRH). Of course in HKL he was undergoing physiotherapy but it was not adequate.”
Shafee said that Najib’s ulcer is also serious, so they are monitoring his food and he has also lost weight.
“What’s so special, I don’t understand. Maybe his food because of the ulcer but nothing else. They cannot give him oily food or spicy food. There is also no outside food.” – September 26, 2022.

Does every prisoner have one?
The stench of the BS is overwhelming, and I'm afraid it's wafting over from a certain (not-so hotshot after all) lawyer.

Hi everyone, I saw comments from people who had already got their loan from Steve Wilson Loan firm. Honestly I thought it was a scam, and then I decided to make a request based on their recommendations. A few days ago, I confirmed in my personal bank account amounting to $580,000, which I requested for business. This is really good news and I am so happy that I advise all those who need a real loan and who are sure to reimburse to apply through their email: [email protected], They are legit loan lenders!
They are able to lend you a loan.
